Narrow Trees For Small Spaces

Narrow Trees For Small Spaces

If you have a small garden in your backyard, some narrow trees might be more appropriate because of their slender size for such small spaces. Although you can still plant large ornamental trees by trimming them into your desired size to fit the environment, you will spend too much effort on those pruning work. There are some good narrow tree species which can suit for nearly any needs for different spaces in your garden.

The Boulevard falsecypress is a popular slender tree for landscaping purposes for hundreds of gardens. They can grow up to 30 feet in height with dark green foliage. They prefer well-drained soil conditions but they can tolerate some acidic and drought soil types as well. The grown trees have a pyramid shape which is perfect for decorative usages.

As a slow-growing landscaping narrow tree, the Rocky Mountain juniper can grow more than 30 feet in height with a few feet in spread. They like to grow in well-drained soil conditions and they can resist some drought environment. It is famous for its needle like evergreen leaves which can provide great view for your garden for the whole year.

As the name suggested, the Little Gem Magnolia has a small size which is perfect for fitting some narrow areas. They have large green leaflets and fragrant white flowers in spring and summer. They can grow more than 20 feet in height and spread less than 10 feet. Like most landscaping trees, they need conditions with full sunlight and well-drained soil types.
