Pink flowers can be one of the attractive colors existing in your garden. Some shrubs are able to produce such flowers in summer, which make them a great choice as part of your color scheme. Also, the fragrance coming from these flowers are able to attract insects like honey bees and butterflies to your garden for better chance of pollination.


Rose of Sharon is a deciduous shrub which can produce elegant blossoms in summer. Apart from pink colored blossom, they can also produce a variety of other colors such as purple, red and blue. They prefer well-drained soil conditions to grow well under full sunlight or partial shade. They can grow more than 10 feet in height with a similar spread. The prefer climate for this shrub is in mild weathers and you should avoid planting them if your home is located in cold or warm areas.

The shrub of azaleas and rhododendrons can also produce great pink blossoms in late spring or early summer. Unlike most shrubs, they do not like be exposed in full sunlight areas and it is better to put them in sheltered areas where the partial shade is available. They can be categorized by the size of their leaves, and their preferable environment is also in mild zones.
